They had served notice of intent in the earlier Free Practice session, and the Porsches of Peter and Mark Cunningham and James and Bill Caley duked it out in the short, sharp 10-minute qualifying session, trading, with son Mark in the SG Racing 991 and father James in the similar Uber X machine leapfrogging provisional pole until Mark posted an unbeatable 1:53.004, just 0.212 ahead of Britcar debutante James. Richard Avery heads the second row in the Simon Green-run Porsche 992, alongside Matty Taylor’s KTM X-Bow. The Project 29:7 Ginetta GTP8 of Sam Smith / Richard Amos claimed the GT class pole, and Archie Buttle heads the Trophy contingent in the Vortice Ginetta G55.
