While Britcar is enjoying the best season in it’s history, the organising team are not resting on their laurels, and though it’s only halfway through the 2021 season, we are already formulating some very exciting plans for a yet more competitive season in 2022 along with our Championship sponsors Goodyear.
We will be looking to run seven rounds at the UK’s most popular tracks – Silverstone, Donington Park, Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Snetterton – and plan to feature races varying from 60 to 120 minutes, with a one-off 360-minute race.
Live streaming of the races has been an unmitigated success this season, bringing in new interest and a welcome fanbase for the Britcar championships, and this will continue for 2022.
We are also planning a new class structure for the Endurance Category of the Britcar Endurance Championship.

Homologated GT3 cars running to a bespoke but balanced Balance of Performance
Ferrari 488 Challenge
And cars of similar performance, with all cars balanced by their relevant BoP, BEPI and/or pit stop duration.
Class 2
Porsche Cup & Ferrari 458 Challenge
And cars of similar performance and with all cars balanced by BEPI and/or pit stop duration.
Class 3
BMW GTR and Ginetta Supercup models
And cars of similar performance and with all cars balanced by BEPI and/or pit stop duration.
Class 4
Cars complying with GT4 specification running to a bespoke but balanced Balance of Performance
Class 5
Cars complying with TCR specification running to a bespoke but balanced Balance of Performance.
The Praga category is gaining momentum through this current season, and Britcar will continue to work with the Praga management. For 2022, Praga will have their own separate races on the Britcar weekend, and may join the Endurance grid for selected large events. Plans for the Trophy category will be announced soon.
