It is with great pleasure that we can announce the release of the provisional regulations for both the Dunlop Endurance Championship and the Dunlop Production Championship.

The team have worked hard to ensure they are as complete as possible. As mentioned above these are Provisional at the moment until the Motorsport Association have approved them so may have some amendments to come. We will of course update you on the website and via email if and when this happens.

The 2016 regulations include some exciting changes for the upcoming season including the all new and exclusive Britcar Endurance Performance Index System that rates cars not only on the BHP to Weight ratio but also the engine torque and the level of racing hardware fitted to the Car given a much truer picture of the performance of the Car. This allows us to allocate classes on a much more accurate basis. This ensures that Car in a certain class will be competing against other similar lap time Cars not just those of a similar engine size. We feel this will lead to more exciting racing for both the competitors and the spectators.

We have also revamped the Pit Stop success penalty system to ensure the field and the competition stays close for the duration of the season. Using additional time added to the mandatory pit stop as a virtual ballast for finishing in the top 3 position, we can even up the race field and the Championships.

We are also expanding the number of Trophies we will be awarding so that as well as the overall race winners, the class 1st, 2nd & 3rd for all classes will be receiving one of our all new for 2016 Britcar Endurance Trophies.
