Teenager Sam Neary has already shown race-winning credentials in Britcar, in the family Team Abba BMW E46 and Mercedes AMG GT3, and will be now displaying his fast-earned skills in the opening round of the Britcar eSeries at Spa-Francorchamps. He is approaching the event with a pragmatic stance, as he reveals in his comments. "It’s definitely going to be interesting as there are a lot of good drivers out there and the different classes is going to make it an interesting race! I think there is going to be a big speed difference between the classes, and it’s all about how you can manage the traffic to not lose much time. I think it’s more equal for drivers, as the fear and adrenaline factor doesn’t come into Sim racing, which should bunch up the field and make it a closer race! I’m hoping to get a podium, and winning would be incredible! I’m really looking forward to it. It’s a shame we can’t go racing in the real world but the most important thing is everyone’s health and safety and making sure when we do get back to racing there are no more risks!"

He’s had podiums, he’s had wins in the real racing world – perhaps he can carry that into the virtual arena.
