For the 2021 season, the Praga Category will be sharing the grid with the Endurance Category, accruing their own points independent of Endurance cars. All other entries split into classes as before.
From Praga Cars: "After a successful 2020 campaign, and the Britcar Endurance Championship title under our belts, Praga is delighted to take an even bigger part in the 2021 Britcar Endurance Championship with our own Praga category, featuring 10 R1s. We intend to grow and develop into a platform in which even more Praga customers can compete in 2022. In a relatively short space of time, the Guest Drivers are now up to speed with the new Praga R1, and proving that novices as well as experienced racers can enjoy the R1. There is also a strong team ethic within the paddock amongst the factory and customer drivers, and some fierce and competitive racing on track."
1x 20 minute warm-up
1x 30 minute qualifying
2x 60 minute races
1x 120 minute race
All on a single day
The format of our weekends will stay the same: for Endurance, Praga and Trophy categories, nearly all will be single-day events, representing an immediate saving on costs. For Endurance & Praga entries we will continue to offer both TV coverage and VIP Hospitality for drivers and teams at each round.
The Britcar Championship uses its own custom online classification system to categorise cars into their respective classes. Classes E1-E4 are the faster cars in the Endurance category, the Pragas are divided into P1 & P2, while classes T5-T7 & TC (Clios) are in the Trophy category - see below for respective dates and race details.
