Round 3 of the 2017 Dunlop Britcar Endurance Championship, hosted on Silverstone’s famous GP circuit, saw some fantastic racing and some outstanding performances.

Now leading the Sprint table are Edward Moore and Marmaduke Hall with their Ginetta G50, run by Yorkshire outfit Tockwith Motorsport. Ed is the younger brother of Nigel, who co-drove the team’s LMP2 Ligier-Gibson P217 at LeMans just a week before and was ‘spannering’ Ed’s car at the weekend. With 95 points, they are just 10 points clear of Roland Hopkins and Matthew Sleigh in the RM Racing VW Golf Cup Car. And on 73 points we have popular Britcar veterans David Mason and Calum Lockie in a Ferrari 458 GT3, prepared and run by Silverstone-based ff Corse.

Now sitting proud at the head of the Endurance table, despite the illnesses both were harbouring, are Witt Gamski and Ross Wylie, driving the MJC Furlonger Ferrari 458 GTE, again run by ff Corse. On 141 points they have a 7 point lead over Simon Rudd, Tom Barley and Will Phillips in one of three Team HARD Ginetta G55s. Just two points behind are Bonamy Grimes and Johnny Mowlem in yet another ff Corse-run Ferrari 458, this time a Challenge variant.

Saturday 29th July sees the Britcar Championship host Round 4 at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit in Kent, following the same format of two races in a single day. Tickets are available from the MSV website.
