Julian McBride

Hometown – Woodcote, Oxfordshire

Occupation

  • Senior cyber security professional, leader, business advisor and coach
  • ARDS instructor and driver coach

Car number – 34

Team – Geoff Steel Racing

Whilst I am building my own brand in racing (Julian McBride Racing and Coaching), I’m supported by Geoff Steel Racing (GSR) as I have been since I started in 2016 and will continue to work with them; they have been supremely professional and it feels like being part of a family!

Racing class – GT

Disability

I was paralysed in 2011 from the waist down but today can walk with the use of aids. I remain partially disabled with constant pain and partial paralysis in both legs.  I have to use my entire leg for both the throttle and brake, as well as having to manage my pain during a race – helped enormously by adrenaline J
