Phil Hanson, 25, has attained the pinnacle of global endurance racing, claiming sensational victory in the 2025 edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours event. Hanson started his circuit racing career with immediate success, when, straight out of Karting in 2016, he claimed the overall title in the newly-rejuvenated Britcar Endurance Championship, sharing the Tockwith Motorsport Audi R8 LMS with Nigel Moore, and was just 17 years old when he lifted the trophy. The experience of racing a top-level GT car enabled Hanson to move straightaway into the Prototype arena, where he has tasted LMP2 success in the intervening years in both the European and Asian Series, stepping up to the new Hypercar Class last year. Now an FIA Gold-level driver, he shares his Le Mans victory in the AF Corse Ferrari 499P with ex-GP pilot Robert Kubica, and Ye Yifei, the first Chinese driver to take an overall win at La Sarthe, marking Ferrari’s third overall win in as many years. Britcar congratulates Phil Hanson on the crowning glory to his glittering career, and is proud to have been the first step in developing his undoubted talent to international success.
