A large grid of sports-prototypes on a UK circuit would be an amazing prospect, though we at Britcar, along with other like-minded organisations, know only too well, through experience, the substantial challenges in achieving such a goal. Last season Britcar administrated the one-make Praga championship on behalf of the Czech manufacturer, and now we feel that for 2023 and beyond the level of competition needs to be enhanced by creating a championship for an array of similar prototypes and LMP-inspired machines, where a consolidated grid of, for example, Praga, Radicals, NP01-EV0, CN cars and other prototypes could compete in a structured class basis.

Our provisional plan for 2023 is:

  • Five events over two-days each:
    20 minutes qualifying
    2 x 25-minute races
    1 x 50-minute race each event
  • One or two-drivers, free choice
  • Championship status
  • Multi-class structure to ensure competitiveness (to be discussed/determined)
  • Run at BEC and Britcar weekends
  • Full Britcar hospitality
  • Races live-streamed and on YouTube post-event
  • Goodyear trackside support

We feel that this is a realistic opportunity to secure the immediate future of prototype racing in the UK, and ask you to contact us to show your interest: claire@britcar-endurance.com
