Britcar are happy to announce our first signing for the 2017 season. Almost as soon as the dates for next year were released, David Mason contacted Britcar HQ to commit himself and co-driver Calum Lockie to another full season.

David Mason OBE is the owner of London’s MacConnal-Mason gallery, co-founded by his great uncle in 1893; David is the fourth generation in the business, having joined the company in 1985. Very much the gentleman driver, David pairs with professional racer Calum Lockie, co-owner of successful track day organisers Goldtrack. Calum has won the British Endurance Championship four times and has taken part in no less than sixteen 24 hour races, including Le Mans, and is therefore one of the most experienced endurance drivers in the country.

Overall winners in 2015, the pair progressed from the Challenge version of the Ferrari 458 to a GT3-spec car for 2016 and Silverstone-based ff Corse will run the same car for them next year. Boasting a 30,000sq ft dedicated motorsport facility at the Northamptonshire circuit, ff Corse-run cars landed a massive 32 race wins in their various series in 2016, with Mason and Lockie landing our Class 2 overall title. We very much look forward to them being part of our Endurance grid next year.
