Tockwith Motorsports’ (TMS) Lucas Nannetti is set to take on the famous Silverstone GP Circuit for the second-round of the Britcar Dunlop Endurance Championship. He and team-mate, Rob Baker, are aiming high and have their sights set on the podium.

Lucas, 16, is eager to get back in the Smart ForFour at Silverstone: "I am so pleased that TMS and Rob have put so much time into the car, which means it should be fully-competitive for the weekend. I am really looking forward to Silverstone, as it is one of my favourite tracks.

"Rob and I work well together, and I am excited to see what we can achieve when we get onto the track and, hopefully, we have a chance at winning trophies."

In preparation, Lucas has been racking up the laps on his race simulator which helps him to learn the track. He has also focused on his nutritional needs, as well as fitness training to make sure he is in the best physical shape.

He added: "Silverstone is a tough track, with both long straights and complex corners, so it is important that I am prepared both mentally and physically to allow me to give 100%. As I am only 16, my GCSEs begin within the next week, so there is extra pressure as I have to allow time to revise."

Lucas was recently invited, along with fellow TMS teammate, Matt Greenwood, to take part in a radio interview with host, Mark Stone, at Drystone Radio’s studio. He spoke about his aims for the season and future ambitions.

Lucas said: "I loved talking to Drystone Radio, as it gave me the opportunity to discuss my aims for the rest of the season and future ambitions. Supporting my local media is really important, as they are very supportive of me, which I am thankful for."

The second-round of the Britcar Dunlop Endurance Championship begins on Saturday 12th May.
