Simon Clark last raced in Britcar in 2023 and as a single driver in a Porsche 997, had several class wins in the Trophy category, culminating in the Class 2 title for that season. Simon returns to the Britcar Endurance Championship for 2026, and hitherto associated with the Porsche marque, he breaks tradition, his FormEvo Racing team stepping up to a factory-built machine for the first time, entering a McLaren 570S GT4, run by former Britcar champion Danny Harrison’s Velocity Racing organisation.

Simon is carrying successes of the past into the new season, as he says: “𝘐’𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘭𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘺 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢 𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘭𝘶𝘣 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱, 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘴𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘴, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘢𝘳 𝘛𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘺 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘪𝘯 2023, 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘌𝘷𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝘶𝘱 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘦𝘸, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘤𝘓𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘴, 𝘟-𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘗1 𝘐𝘛 𝘚𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵.
