It is with immense sadness that Claire and Jason announce the passing of their beloved father Geoff Williams, last weekend after a long illness. The founder of a successful Hatton Garden business that Jason now runs, it was Geoff’s love of all things car-related, and his enthusiastic exploits in motorsport that inspired Claire and Jason’s involvement, first in track days, then Historic racing as a family, Claire particularly remembering her first outing as a 21-year old at Thruxton plus the three of them racing, in the same race, at Spa Francorchamps over 20 years ago.
Geoff was a keen advocate of Claire’s involvement in Britcar from the early days, and was a passionate and encouraging supporter when Claire & Jason took over the management of Britcar ten years ago. Britcar is what it is today because of Geoff’s inspiration & support.
