ROWE is a brand well known to continental racers and fans and has been gaining traction in the UK market for a few seasons now, slipping into the consciousness of UK Motorsport with a well-planned marketing push spreading throughout the varied championships. ROWE are directly involved in around a dozen Championships in the UK ranging from the hobby racers in Championships such as the CALM All Porsche Trophy through to aspiring Grand Prix drivers in the kart championships.

ROWE have been a valued supporter of Britcar for a number of years now and as well as sponsoring all the trophies and giving all round 1 competitors free oil this year, they have been present in the paddock to talk oils, lubricants and sustainable motorsport to all our competitors. Sustainability is at the heart of ROWE’s mission statement. Their goal is to “Drive Motorsport Greener” with all of their products at minimum Net-Zero for life-cycle carbon emissions and their SUNSPEED range being a ‘Carbon-Positive’ product, i.e. more CO2 is removed from the atmosphere during production than is released by manufacturing, using and disposing of the product. An added benefit is that all of their oils, and especially the SUNSPEED range are better performing oils than their fossil-based contemporaries.

The SUNSPEED range of oils are created using 100% biomass, no fossil or mineral-based oils go into the product. This results in pure hydrocarbon molecules which are less prone to contamination when compared with conventional fossil or mineral based oils, this produces a better quality product resulting in more efficiency in the lubrication which aids performance, endurance and economy of your engine. Coupled with the product removing between 0.5 and 1.0kg of CO2 from the atmosphere for every 1 kg of oil produced it means the oil is having a net-positive effect on the environment. Even the packaging is made from minimum 50% recycled content.

Teams and drivers looking for corporate sponsorship programs are well aware of the environmental message lots of companies are looking to align themselves with, with ROWE products and their push for fully sustainable motorsport it shows once again that motorsport is driving towards a cleaner and greener tomorrow and is THE place to improve technology and engineering for the future generations.
