Britcar will shortly welcome Sam Howarth, who is currently completing a degree in Motorsport Engineering. Still only 21, Sam started karting at the age of 10 and successfully progressed through national competitions in both Junior and Senior categories of TKM and IAME X30.
After coaching from ex F1 driver Mike Wilds, Sam was introduced to Lars Kern, Porsche Test Driver and Le Mans competitor. Sam drove Lars in a Porsche GT3RS and it was recommended that Sam enter GT car racing.
Supported by Porsche Centre High Wycombe, and running under the team name Flat Six Motorsport, Sam has competed in the 2025 Liqui Moly Slicks Series, racing at a competitive pace with 2 podiums in 2025. So far, 2026 has been a highly successful year and with 4 rounds completed Sam has placed on the podium 3 times as well as securing Class wins. Sam enters the Donington Britcar Endurance Championship on an invitational basis to ‘test the water’ for the 2027 season.
