James Bentley may not be a familiar name within Britcar, but he has been omnipresent in the CTR-Alfatune pit garage, supporting dad Chris Bentley, who co-drives the team’s SEAT Leon TCR in the Endurance Championship.
True to the team’s usual and self-acknowledged outlook, he is approaching the initial eSeries event at Spa with a relaxed attitude; "In terms of experience I don’t really have any! I have a Fanatec system that I purchased at Christmas, but I have never done any competitive e-racing. As far as expectations go, I have no idea how I am going to do, I have been practicing a little, so I would be happy along as I’m not a million miles off the pace in my class."
But that’s what the team says in the real world too, and then prove that they can pull something out of the bag when it matters. Let’s not be fooled!
