Essex & Kent Motorsport will embark on their maiden season in the Britcar Trophy Championship this year, after announce that siblings Lewis and Bradley Kent will team up to pilot a Hyundai Veloster.

Having spent the past six years establishing themselves as one of the most successful outfits in UK motorsport, the team are poised for a new challenge in 2024 as they set their sights on Britcar’s coveted prize. The family-run outfit will enter the series with plenty of pedigree too having claimed TCR UK title glory twice, as well as a number of race wins. In addition, they have also enjoyed success in TCR Europe.

After both starting their fledgling careers behind the wheel at the age of seven, Lewis and Bradley have enjoyed meteoric rises; all of which began in karting where they competed in Britain, European and the United States of America. Graduating into car racing, the pair both competed in the Fiesta Junior Championship before Bradley moved on to Fiesta Seniors. From there he went on to make his mark across MX5s, the VW Cup and most recently TCR UK.

Lewis’ path could be likened to his brother with runners-up laurels in Fiesta Seniors being followed by unprecedented success in TCR UK, where he lifted the overall title in back-to-back seasons. In what will be their first time teaming up together, the Kent duo will be keen to make their mark – especially in a proven package that they’re familiar with.
